Mummy Hot Dogs

No Halloween party is complete without a fun and festive snack! These Mummy Hot Dogs are the perfect cosy treat—simple to make, kid-friendly, and sure to bring a smile to every guest. Wrapped in golden puff pastry and topped with playful “eyes,” they’re spooky enough for Halloween but gentle and delicious for a family-friendly celebration. Serve them with a pot of ketchup featuring a mustard “cobweb” for an extra festive and interactive touch!

Halloween Mummy Hotdogs with a ketchup and mustard dip.

Ingredients:

  • 8 hot dogs or sausages

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (or crescent dough)

  • Mustard or ketchup for eyes & dip

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into thin strips.

  3. Wrap each hot dog with pastry strips, leaving a small gap for the “eyes.”

  4. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Add dots of mustard or ketchup to create eyes.

  7. Serve warm and watch the little mummies disappear!
